Credit Repair and Debt Relief in 2008

Here in the US, the New Year 2008 is closing in. New Year resolutions have been made. Your new year’s resolution may be to get out of debt, or fix your credit.

The good thing is; you want improvement. The bad thing is; most New Year resolutions get broken, sometimes too soon. It is for this reason that I say that every day should be a new beginning. This way, you can always re-start something, or start something new altogether for not all your plans, goals and aspirations will work out.

In fact, most plans will fail, even the best laid ones (not to discourage you but it’s just the way of life). It is what we do with our failures that really matters. Do we just lick our wounds and give up? No.

The great inventor Thomas Edison had 1000 inventions that never worked. Someone once asked him that if this meant he’d failed 1000 times. Thomas Edison replied that those were 1000 lessons on how things did not work. How we view our failures makes all the difference.

Your resolution to get out of debt or repair your credit is a noble one. But there are pitfalls and challenges ahead.

Don’t just make a resolution, be proactive. Take action.

Read up on the subject. But reading alone will not make a difference. What will make a difference is action. As long as you read the right material (there is a whole lot of stuff out there that is just crap) and follow with action, you should be begin to make headway sooner than later.

But above all, don’t give up. If you need a break, take one. But keep at it. Learn from every mistake and keep going.

Wishing you a most happy and prosperous New Year, 2008.

David
